Once ICWERX executes a non-FAR based agreement, known as a Research and Development Agreement (RDA), with Academia, Industry, or Labs, Performers collaborate with End Users and experts to rapidly ideate on innovative capabilities around Intelligence Community focus areas.
A project is categorized as delivered after all milestones and tasks are completed and the final deliverable is submitted to the Intelligence Community. From there, End Users have multiple pathways to continue, transfer, or evolve a project going forward.
A Collaborative Project Order (CPO) is a funding mechanism provided by a Government Partner to its innovation hub. In turn, ICWERX, on behalf of the Intelligence Community, can award funding to conduct a study, proof-of-concept, or prototype development for a designated End User.
ICWERX is lowering the barriers of entry and moving at the speed of Industry. To showcase this, ICWERX monitors the time between the Government Partner selecting a Performer and ICWERX executing the RDA with a Performer. Traditionally, a process that may take months for the Government is shortened to weeks, if not days, to fully execute.
This metric represents the cumulative total of all partnerships with organizations performing tasks with the Intelligence Community, under an RDA with ICWERX. Note: ICWERX may execute multiple agreements with a singular organization.
Innovation Accelerator Centers (IACs) are virtual focal points of excellence for specified emerging technologies of interest for the Intelligence Community. The goal of an IAC is to create a center of gravity for the mission focus and work conducted by partnering organizations.
